Edward Worlledge Ormiston Academy is a community school for children in the 4-11 age range. The academy is part of Ormiston Academies Trust, a multi-academy trust with a family of academies across the whole of England.
Our philosophy is one of continuous improvement, driven by a profound moral purpose: we are determined to make the biggest difference, both inside, outside and beyond the classroom.
We are immensely proud of our happy and nurturing ethos, where each child is valued and supported as an individual. Our children are at the heart of everything that we do and they have a strong voice in the decisions that we make. Our curriculum is designed to inspire and motivate children to acquire the knowledge and skills that will successfully prepare them for their future.
We want our children to grow to be resilient, knowledgeable, confident, and have high aspirations for themselves, whilst being kind and generous members of their community. To enable this to happen, we have high expectations for our children in their behaviour and learning. We offer a broad curriculum with many opportunities for enrichment through extra-curricular activities. It is through these experiences that our children develop socially and emotionally as they learn important life skills.
Edward Worlledge Ormiston Academy is a hard-working, supportive team who go the extra mile for children, parents and each other. We consider you to be part of our ‘team’ and ask that you help encourage your child to participate fully in all aspects of school life. We aim to be as welcoming as possible and are on the gates every morning and after school to talk to parents and the community. If there is anything that you need to know of if you are concerned about, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to help.
